I have not ridden in Michigan in over 25 years. I want a change in scenery. Looking to ride from Brimley Michigan to Marquette. Im looking for info on online maps, trails, milage, restraunts, taverns things to see in the area. Im not sure how many miles it is. Lol. Any info would be appreciated...Thank you

Not sure if there is anything online but it should straight forward once u get to Newberry Mi.

From Pine Stump to Munising is about 100 miles from Muni there is 2 ways to Marquette

Thanks Mr. Sled. I have looked at maps online, I am finding out more info . I like to know to know for places to stop. Good restraunts, The best hotel to stay at in Marquette ? Which way to Marquette is better and why. I know alot of guys/gals on this site have ridden in these areas. Should we stay in Munising instead of Marquette ? Thank you....

Boarders Inn in Wetmore just outside Muni is where we stay all the time. They have bar in hotel and usually have a food truck In parking lot. Lake shore trail is faster (trail 7 to 418 to 417)to Marquette but I prefer the south route theu Gwinn ( trail 8 )The Model Town Inn at Gwinn is a great place and you can go to the Up North Lodge for Food or over to the Crossroads restaurant and lounge. Both Gwinn and Crossroads area have had both south of Marquette. You can also stay West of Marquette in Ishpaming at the Jasper Ridge they have brew house eatery across the street and other hotels and gas near there.

We generally stay in the Curtis/Newberry area and have rode to both Marquette and to Brimley. I agree with MrSled in that I too prefer the south route to Marquette that takes you thru Gwinn; at least on the way to, then we take the other way home. However, before you leave Brimley, be sure to stop at Cozy Inn for the best darn pork rinds. ;)!
