Dragy Advice

Thanks for the pic. Love my NS1 on my 2014 ZR9. Have not put one on my 998. Using the stock gauge with the garmin. I would think between the Draggy and the recording feature on the NS1 you have everything needed to get great data. The combination of the two probably as good as it gets for live data when testing.
First season on the ns1 so I am hoping aswell. I loaded my gap software and my other apps, just curious if i can split screen and use app of my choice on one side and gauge on other. And as for draggy I leave it in he goggle bag untill I want to use it. I’ll open app on phone (probably download it for ns1 too now) and then just drop it on pad. Make my passes then back in goggle bag. As far as a permanent mount I don’t see it working on trail if that helps

Yes, you can split the screen. When trail riding, half my screen is map and the other half is speedo/tach/water temp. When testing I run one screen data only. On mine there are 5 screen configuration options.

Any reason not to use this 2018 model?
$119. Vs newest version $159.
We have to remember it's just for tuning.

It's my understanding that the difference between the two is the newer one supposedly has a more precise gps. Knowing others have been using Dragy for sometime (ie. been using the DRG69), I'd be inclined to save the $40.

Dragy claims the version 69 is accurate to a .10 of a second.
The version 70 is .01 of a second.
I'm like, it is theoretically impossible to test down to .01 of a second, with any possible consistency. Especially with varying surface conditions. It's not like we're testing on concrete.

I’d save the cash. They are neat tool but only things I’d like is an on off feature so you don’t need to charge for every use so you def know it’s hooked up, an maybe a button that breaks up data streaks so you don’t need to decipher it as much. But otherwise it’s pretty slick

For the purpose of testing, that level of accuracy is meaningless for any vehicle unless you are just testing reaction times. For the purpose of establishing a solo time, it is worthwhile.

The older model is fine.

The 2018 model has worked flawlessly for me and has been great for substantiating the performance capabilities of these Rocket Sleds. My Doo buddies wont test their sleds with my draggy after seeing my sleds times and mph. :):)
The BS stops with accurate performance recording.
Sometimes showing them what 125+ (mph) looks like, instead of speedo indicated (skidoo), can be a real game changer. Lol.
We'd probably have more converts.....

Lol skidoo dream meter is a real sales pitch to their clueless riders. Guy I know has 600 and said “you only go 126, I got 108 with my 600 skidoo.” …. Lol that’s great but my gf passed you on her 850 Polaris like you were standing still and left you at 107 while you were going “108”. I’d give you 94-96 at best. They don’t believe it.

Anyway, draggy FTW!

Lol....it's too much.
I raced a (skidoo) guy on his 850 that claims 120++ on speedo, I flew right past him. He honestly thinks my sled is in the high 120's to low 130's.
Problem with that is, my speedo never went past 115. Hahaha.
I think he's still trying to figure things out. And that was four years ago. Hahaha....

The info is self explanatory. I was under the impression more data was available?
330', 1,000ft, etc. not the case?

You'll see your 60 ft and 330 within the 1/8th mile one and you'll see 60ft, 330, and 1000 within the quarter mile one.

You also can add custom set points. For example, you can set speed at 150 mph, it will then show you the distance it took to hit it.

So I normally set mine up with the 1/4 mile, then I'll add custom settings, 0-140, 0-141, 0-142.....

Oh, wow...thanks DMC. I guess I'll see those abilities once I connect to Bluetooth.
