Do I have to change the gasket between the motor and the flex pipe.. I really do not want to try my luck taking all 3 flex pipes off..

Not sure if you have to or not but I did when I changed my donuts and found one of my flex pipes broken. It wasn't that bad....getting the front bolt holding the exhaust hanger was way harder. Locating a heat shield was harder too...

I just put some penetrating oil on, let it sit and then loosened them off...came right away with no issues (although some of them are a little tight; especially the left most one).

I ended up doing copper exhaust donuts, new clamps, heat shield, one new flex pipe and flex pipe gasket.

I will make removal/installation of the front exhaust hanger screw/bolt and exhaust donut check a part of my annual maintenance from now on.

I changed my exhaust donuts out at 22xx miles. So it wasn't bad for me. Not a hard job at all and I'm no wrench. I actually am gaining a lot of mechanical confidence since I bought the Nytro. I've enjoyed tinkering with sled mods on this machine. It is my favorite pass time. I've been accumulating a lot more metric tools also!

At least with the Nytro the majority of the wrenching is because you want to vice have to....

No. That gasket does not need to be changed unless it's leaking. I have had many motors apart and with the multi layer gasket like that it re seals perfect.

What do you have take a part to change the exhaust donuts????I am new to this site........is there another area on this site that would give you the details
Thanks in advance

Seat has to come off and the gas tank.... its quite the job.

I've also changed one flex pipe without taking the others off to replace the gasket and haven't had any problems resealing it. Just inspect the metal gasket to make sure it wasn't leaking and still has a good sealing surface.

So got it all apart.........donuts don't look to bad but will change them anyway since I have it apart...........one flex pipe is not connected to flange that attaches to motor??????does this mean its hooped...................is it suppose to be one piece?

It should be one piece. You can find used on ebay for around $30
