I have heard quite a few people complain of the same issue I was having with the BRP Modular helmet...It's cold on the face. On very cold rides I would get pretty nasty wind burn on my cheeks all around my mask, not to mention my eyes would water constantly.
I own the Modular 1 and I am not sure how the Mod 2 differs but will share what has worked for me with my helmet.
I discovered that by blocking the areas underneath the mask the air that enters the face area is significantly reduced. To block off this area I used 2" weather stripping and stuck it on both sides of the leather chin guard, then cut it so that it would fit over the mask. I am still able to open and close the helmet as usual and have not had a cold face since doing this!
I added some pics to show exactly what I did. In the first pic I circled the areas that NEED to be covered in order to block the wind from getting in. This is the best I could come up with but if someone can or has come up with something better please let me know!

Believe it or not, the Mod 2 has a piece like this that is very similar. It has magnets that attach it to the underneath of the helmet when it is in place. I think they must have done this to prevent the cold air coming in like you did.

I have not seen a Mod 2 in person (only in pics) and they don't ever show the bottom of the helmet. If someone has pics of the new design or has tried to retrofit this to a Mod 1 please share. Thanks

My mod2 came with additional "cold weather" piece which you put on the breather mask that hangs down and is 6 inches long.
