How big of a job is it to replace the front left(sitting on sled) bulkhead. This is the piece the front suspension mounts to. Do you have to remove the motor to get at all the rivets? Thanks.
Would appreciate some steps to do this.

How do you get the rivets back in behind the water pump cover? They are put in from the inside out.
Do you just put them in from the outside and suck them down?

WOW, I think a record number of people have broken bulkheads this year!!! Every other post the last few weeks have been about bulkheads. I think its time to go thouroughly check mine over!!!!!!

I have a hole and crack on the right side looking at the sled from the front
it's right in the bottom not near the a-arms.also I bent my tunnel and running boards right behind the spring/weight transfer about a 1/4 inch crease.
do you think that would be enough for the insurance company to total it?

I cracked both sides of my bulkhead and cracked my oil cooler. $1.750 repair estimate. Filed a claim and the called me today thinking they are going to total it! Hopefully not but we will see.
