Hello Apex community,
First post on this thread, a little background on me. I have been riding snowmobiles for about ten years, last sled 2007
Vector. Always been a yamaha guy ride a 2007 FZ6 motorcycle during the summer. I live in Ontario and do most of my riding around algonquin park.
So I have decided to upgrade, was looking at only four stroke engines so basically its was down to the new 2013 Arctic Cat XF 1100 Turbo or the Apex. (Ski-doo just don't make the cut in my books) after looking at both and pricing with a trade in of 2 x 2006 venture xl 500 fans the apex made the most sense. Plus I will have cash left over for add-ons and that is why I am here.
If you were to buy a new 2011 Apex what upgrades or add-ons would you purchase??
I was thinking
1) 2013 tuner skies
2) Dupont hyfax
3) ice scratchers
4) stud the track / pre studded track (thats a whole conversation in itself)
5) belly pan
what do you guys think of the 40mm H.P.G, Aluminum front shocks? upgrade to clickers?
so what are the community thoughts thanks in advance

I'm riding 11 se this year putting tuners 6"+4" 3+2+3+2 stud pattern reinforced tunnel protectors getting skid plate when sliders are done getting DuPonts .for me sounds like your on the right track. Had clickers on my 06 and like them over stock.

Here's my list after riding apex's since 2007
Tank saddle bag
mirrors - Yamaha handle bar mounted one, cheap ($15 each) and work
Woody slim jim dual carbides or tuner skis
saddle bags, I have Yamaha, but still like my 1995 vintage Miller bag the best, lots of room for saddle bag trips
studs, 96 down the middle, more for safety then traction
Yamaha hand guards, similar to the Skinz, keeps hands toasty warm

I did 153 woodys signautre series 1.325 studs down the center belt. sucked the front limiter strap up one hole, added on to tunnel protectors and stud boy 9"duece bars last year. crappy winter last years so i only put on 300 miles. last week i ordered umlers clutching, air box mod and a pcv fuel controller. it should all be here tomorrow and on tomorrow night. just need some snow
