I'd love to see some Go-Pro helmet cam footage! See what it's like making your own trail thru bush! ESPN or someone should televise this with helicopters above following the lead teams. That would be great.

I ran the I 500 back in the 70s. It was a tough race back then but nothing like the Cain's Quest!!
If snow conditions were good and with the modern riding gear, GPS, sled reliability, capable speeds, suspensions, ect the Winnipeg to St Paul 500 could be done in a day, not the three days we used to do it in.
The group I ride with regularly does 300 mile days, on groomed trails of course.

I really hope all 3 teams are here or come here soon and tell us all and @JMS@Yamaha the good bad and the ugly. These guys should be in TRF today debriefing Kingers' Quality Control and Process Improvement Engineering teams.

It would be on my bucket list to do this but requires a ton of money and planning. Literally $50k a person so unless you're a millionaire you probably need some sponsors. Its 3000kms and NO gas stations, so you have to plan ahead and get all your gas shipped to different locations....

Geez, what a letdown! Now I have to listen to my Doo buddies brag on how the Doos won this race. Guess the winder pilots didn’t read DooTalk and the superiority of the Doo. Entering that race with super duper heavy and unreliable snow machines. Stupid Winder pilots!

I already was getting texts from my Doo riding buddies bragging about the Doo win...bah!
I wonder how many Ski Doos started the race compared to the number of Winders?
The attrition ratio would be interesting...maybe give us something to grasp to in defending the Winder

Don't worry KnappAttack, look at the ratio of Doo's to Winders and I'd say we are still ahead!

From what I saw, there were only 2 Winder teams and both finished (one in 2nd place!). There were 24 scratches out of 50 teams. There was only 1 Cat team. Maybe saw 1 Poo team. Rest were Dooskis. So, about 22 out of the 50 scratches were Doo. Not something to brag about.
