IT took me awhile to get my shocks right with my 17 ltxse and then a change of ski and carbides plus fast spool tune. It works great now and after spending 4 days riding with my doo buds on ace turbos and new 850s, they can keep them. Really disappointed in the 900 turbo with lack of top end but that is likely because I am so used to the fast spool. I really liked the 850 motor for tight running but the handling is a little weird with the dartiness and ski lift at inopportune times. Once you know where it happens you can control it but if you get right off the winder and on the doo it will scare you because you know the winder does not do that at the same spot. You have to be more active on the doo where you can think the winder through the trail with small body movements and do it faster. I do have to say I really liked the Polaris XCR 850. It handles really well and the motor is pretty sweet. Really liked the riot 600 in our group. It has a great motor for just about anything and it handles really well on the trail and damn good off too. Cat is on to something with that setup. The 2 smokers just do not have the jam for me. Would buy either as a second sled anytime. Guess I will be on my winder a few more years. I think I am going to do the front end upgrade and rails as it is just that much better(flatter in the corners) from my time on a 2020 tcat. Cheers

How much is left in this race? I read a comment on FB this morning that 4 Sidewinders are in the lead and 17 Doo's have went down with failures.

And then there's the srx,it's like its on rails even with the tuner 3 skis i can pass my buds 900t in the corners with out really leaning seems like hes fighting it the whole time same as his previous 2 smoke renegadeIt's not one certain topic, but they all love to think their Doo's can smoke a Heavy turbo four-stroke thru the woods and twisties, which I find to be completely the opposite, my Doo buds can't hang with our Winders even in the twisties, In fact, I have one buddy that told me just recently that he's working up a sweat just trying to hang when he can see we're not even trying. Told him if I wanted to I could leave them in the dust! Riding the Winder is quite effortless compared to the ski lifting Doo's. There's a reason I switched from Doo the Winder! One ride and I knew I just had to make the switch. I WAY prefer the ride, handling and ergos of the Cat chassis!
Last time out I had a Doo buddy on the new 2020.5 XRS 850 Demo sled. They still don't have that chassis figured out, still the same old ski-lifting animal they have been fighting with since the G4 came out. You can see him struggle trying to corner with it, while us on the winders are sitting straight up riding like touring riders and wondering why he is going so slow. Quite obvious Cat has this figured out and are on point with their awesome front and rear end! No matter what you doo to the Doo, the Winder is better handling right outta the box with no tweaks other than maybe skis.

Leaders approaching checkpoint 17. Last one before finish stretch. Approx. 350 km to go (215 miles). Total race was about 3100 km. (1926 miles).
Team 21 (850 XRS) now in lead w Team 50 (2020 Sidewinder) close behind and gaining on them. The other Sidewinder team must have had some trouble because they are back in 5th place after coming into Nain (checkpoint 13) in the lead with Team 50.

#33 have had shocks problems . It is repaired and they move. #50 is now ~~15min behind #21
Btw #33 are stock. Stock stock.... Only shock valving, rear strong bumper, bearcat ski. Stock clutching, they tried Bill kit and it was to hard on gas
They have change some rule in the middle of the race, i feel this is just not right and lack of seriousness ....

Approx. 130 miles left to go to finish. Team 21 (850 Backcountry) in front of #50 Sidewinder by 18 miles and #2 (850 Backcountry) is about 15 miles behind #50. Let's see what happens once they get back on the ice when they turn south for final stretch before finish.

Don't know rules ... how much are they allowed to cut corners? How far off official route are you allowed to be?
