Just a poll - how many guys are going to this event?

I am really hoping we have a great turn out I think it would put a lot of the chatter to rest if the s/c's ran against the newer front mount turbos in real conditions to see what we really have.

When I run off against other guys I am always alone and lose them out of my peripheral vision and do not know what happened till i get it whoa'd down and most of the time it was in deeper snow on lakes. I then hear well I did not get a good hookup, or reaction time was slow or well you have a 1.6" track, the gas was only 87 octane, my belt is worn........

As far as I know I am one of the first to take the new chasis this far on boost on a trail setup and want to find out if I wasted the $$.

I would love to run this event... Spent many hours tuning for the perfect trail / race combo.
And I never have an excuse. I've ran a couple turbo vipers this year and it was fun.
They still look very cool even in the rear view mirrors ;)

Well I can get parts on a moments notice for an rx or warrior unfortunately the viper has spent more time in the shop this yr than on the snow. Even a set of Cat limiter straps will not be in untill Wednesday. It would be crazy to try to run this thing down the track WOT, verticle with the bumper dragging on the ground.

Yamadog if you like lake racing you should mark your calendar for the first weekend in March and come to the weenie roast in Cable Wi next year. They will likely have the cruise race again and opportunity for lake racing all weekend. All you need to do is jump in and see where you fit in the crowd. Any thing from stock on up! Wouldn't be to far to travel. We have been going for year's, it's a blast!

I will enter it now I just got this thing finally running and now a few probs to iron out but would love to. I have only been able to run guys I meet up with and there is never a groomed track or official distance. I never built this to be a drag sled but I want to justify the $$'s I spent.

I used to run the Sunday lake radar drags but I have not seen anything on them for 2 or 3 yrs.

There were 3 events here locally this yr but all of them were held when mine was in pieces. I do plan on a track swap and a few grass drags this yr. I live so close to Haydays and zimmerman also has one. I just have to figure out how to keep the nose down on this thing.

I understand, things are winding down for the season. It's the time of year that I need to get to work again so my sled is cleaned, polished, greased and serviced for next year. Just a thought anyway. It's cool to see 25 sled's lined up and running all day long. I do like the cruise idea though so there are some rule's otherwise you may get a buddy with the knee twitch or what ever before the hand drop? LOL There was a lot of snow on the lake this year but it was a blast when they were done with the groomed track, my setup worked very good there.

I always have a blast no matter the results I just want to see how this runs againts the apex and rx's turboed. I have no real world #'s with it the way it is now. I have run against 1 serious xf1100 reflashed and I was only at 6#'s at the time, e let off and never finished the run, we were in a ditch with bad conditions but the xtx set back and launched hard he went sideways. He would not run again. At the time he had not Idea I had the turbo and was so freaked by a stock 135 hp sled leaving him that hard.

If I was to buy a new sled …..you have the perfect combination in my books…must be a blast to ride a new viper boosted and with that high kind of handling.
very cool…...

That's the cool thing about these lake race event's. I go to have fun, if you are going to be bummed if you get beat you will not have fun because there is always some one faster no mater who you are. Some guys will tell you what they have andother's you will never find out. I ran into nightrider06 and a couple of his buds this year and ran them a couple times, snow was very deep and not very tight where we raced but he has a Nytro MTX with I think he said a 1.5+ track so he could pull me slightly out of the hole and then he had to let off right away due to hitting the rev limiter. I think he said he was 8 or 9#. Would have been nice to run them later on the hard pack although he was at higher boost for the good stuff, may have needed to turn mine up also! Ran a couple Turboed Nytro's at 6#, a TCat on juice? A couple other sled's, a couple turbo Cat's with no problem's. There was one turbo Cat that I recall that was with or ahead of me but I have no idea what he was running. Either way it was fun win or loose! This was my first year with a Turbo trail sled normally we are there for the ice drag's with a friends Turbo RX-1.

Hopefully see you there next yr.

I am fixing mine Limiter straps) tomorrow and it looks like the up is getting better temps and a bit more snow may head up at least 1 more time with laser measurer and stopwatch like I used to do in the old days.
