can a 151 be a trailable sled

I have a 153" Apex GT. I was going 144 as well, but couldn't find tracks either, and then I found this track in new condition off a Nytro MTX for $100, so I went for it. I rarely hit the trails but it's a blast in the ditches and offtrail for sure. I don't think I'll ever go back to a short track.

By the way, if you'll be riding offtrail, MTX skis with dually carbides are a night and day difference compared to the stock trail skis.

Could you explain or show photo of third clip position
I can take a pic tomorrow and post it up. But if you do a search you should be able to find it. Basically there is a spring steel clip that goes around the shock body and it holds the cam adjuster for preload settings. I used to have to run the cam on the 6th position with some bottoming still, but after putting the clip on the third position I now can run on the 3rd cam position with bottoming only on the hardest hits. It compresses the spring moving the clip position creating more preload.

spring

ok so you have to remove the shock from the skid and then somehow compress the main spring to move the clib . ok i will try next time i pull the skid. thanks

I didn't remove the shock but I had the skid out as I was extending it out to the 151". I used strut compressors to collapse the spring and move the c- clip. If you go to the Stock Suspension forum and then go to page 11 and look at the topic c clip it will show you how that poster did his and you can see the c clip grooves in the shock body below the cam adjuster. He did his while still in the sled. That post was the one I used as reference to do mine. I didn't however have the bearing puller so I just used the spring compressors and got it done.
