Can My RX1 Mtn. Beat a MM?

just like the title says. Can my 2004 RX1 Mountain with the 151 beat a 1997 Mountain Max 700 in a simple race? It would be on powder about 4-5 inches deep on a lake. Altitude being 8500ft

from what i know, its stock. The guy who owns it talks so much crap i have to put my boots on :roll: I plan to race him next season when i get more miles. Seems like my sled is opening up with more miles. im at about 700 now

700mi's it's just getting to be a sweet motor. It will still get better, I have not noticed much change since about 1300mi. Till the turbo that is :lol:

I have an 03 RX1M 151 (stock w/ECP filters)and a 02 MM700 141 (all stock). I can beat the 700 by 4 sleds, now with Freddies kit - by 6 sleds. Now when I race my friends 02 MM700 w/ 151, modified head and exhaust (can't remember the brand) but who cares, I can still beat him, but by only 2 sleds and he weighs 350 lbs. I ride 8,000' to 12,000' elevations. I weigh 215 lbs. with gear. Hope this gives you some confidence.

I also ride with a friend that has a 900 151, very very light, quick, can out climb me, but ------it keeps breaking down. Every time I look back, somethings wrong with it. I'm not insulting Artic Cats but maybe he's got a lemon. He too weighs 350 lbs. Come to think of it, I think I'm the smallest one in the group.

The only MM I have raced unfortunately beat me. He did have a lot of mods though. triple pipes, heads ported, etc. It was putting out 150 hp and was a good 100#'s lighter. I was at least 3-4 lengths behind hime in a long field. So if this one you are racing is stock, you should not have a problem what so ever.

You shoul not have a problem, I raced a '03 MM that is piped has the heads done and anything else he could do to it and I am COMPLETLY STOCK '04 RX1M w/700 miles and won every time ........ he said "see ya next weekend when I get my NOS"

I think I might have a problem beating him now :roll:

You won't have a problem with a stock MM700. From what I have experienced, the stock RX-1 is right in between a stock MM700 and A modified MM with pipes, porting and head work.
