I voted not at all, My girlfriend is scared to death to go over 20mph. She will ride on the back with me though. But keeps smacking me in the helmet......don't know whats that about !!!

I am posting for MOST women...I can keep up, and I can beat men all day long on my sled. However, I will say that I know of some women who cant keep up and who will only go 35 mph. I feel so sorry for those girls, they need to learn how to ride! But Im not afraid to take any man on, all you have to do is say GO!!!!!! Sorry boys! :tg:

Can vote yet.. She has not ridden with me... Will find out this winter.. I think I will lay off the throttle a little so she can keep up.. LOL

Guessing that I have to change that now.. She dumped me two weeks ago... :o| Stupid #*$&@ reason cause I live at home.. WTF

Ultimately it comes down to a persons comfort level. And everyones is different. Personally I feel sorry for the people who feel they have to push it like it's a race everytime they turn the key. Like My grandpa always said when it came to flying and pilots, "You're only as good as your last flight." that can also apply to sledding.

I agree with that,well stated

I believe that it all comes down to the right mix of confidence and fear. If the mix is off one way or the other you're going to have problems, male or female. My wife caught that tree on a corner because she lost confidence at the wrong time and hit the binders losing control. Scared the heck out of us and I'm sure glad she wasn't hurt. She has yet to regain the confidence to be the rider that she was before. I don't press her and ride much slower when I ride with her, as I don't want her going faster than she's comfortable. She's overly cautious now and the fear is taking a lot of fun out of the sport for her.

Having someone try and "KEEP UP" is a major cause of trail accidents. Inexperienced riders, speed and lack of confidence. I tell all our newer riders to never go faster than they're comfortable. The group will wait for them. Just my opinion and I could be wrong.

I agree 100% ! How many times is the Female on a 5+ year old sled that is almost 1/2 the power of the complaining guy who has a brand new muscle sled ? ! ? :ORC

My wife who is ApexGTgirl rides an 06 Apex GT and I ride my 02 Viper and she keeps up really good and that is the reason I got her the big sled!! actually she stole it from me after she rode it once :yam:

By the way this thread was not meant to be about casuing others to push past their comfort level. It was meant to be who's wife or girlfriends riding ability is as good as yours or close.....

I agree in not pushing others as it can be very dangerous.

my wife does, but she also can hunt, fish, change her own oil, does yardwork, etc!!! she ROCKS, and can still be girly :) best. wife. ever ;)
