Canandaigua, NY Grass Drags w/Apex

Guys, last week decided to get the Apex ready for some local grass drags here in NY. Sled performed well under the lack of testing (about 3 200ft blasts in a friends yard the day before at dusk). So yesterday i went out and put my best pull it out of your a$$ grass drag setup. (gears, clutching, stock track w/96 trail studs down the center and lowered sled)

Entered 700, 800, and Open 'trail stock'. (i asked about the 600class, but they said No Way! We have seen that sled run before
At the end of the day i ended up with a 2nd in 800 stock and 4th in 700 stock. 700 stock might have well been 11 Firecats against 1 Apex (he, he).

All was good racing and i'm ok with the results.

Yes, it was fun getting back on the grass again and it was a great day. Looks like there is another race in a couple weeks. Should be some fast stuff there as well.
Yea, in race mode those F-7’s are tough to beat. In snow/trail mode I usually can handle them. But, in 500ft it’s tough… May have a little more for them in a couple weeks though.

Chris, depending on what I decide to do you ‘may’ see me out on the ice again with a turbo sled. We will see… I will give you a call soon to discuss.
