Hey All,
It seems like I have a coolant leak from the coolant tube going into the head. Looking at the service manual, there are O-rings #27 labeled "new".
I do not have easy access to a Yamaha dealer. Anyone know what thickness the o-rings are? I want to try and pick some up at the hardware store tomorrow.
Also is the ring supposed to be seated between the tube end and the head, or between the flare in the tube and the head?
Thanks.

I have my coolant system apart. I have the o-rings on my shop bench at home. I believe they are close to 1/16" wall. I'll measure them as soon as I get home. You should be able to get new o-rings that are a good match from an auto parts store.
Are you metal coolant tubes rusted?

Father-in-law had a box of various o-rings. I picked the thinnest walled one that fit over the tube and rolled it up to the flange.
Both tubes are rusted up about an inch of so. the bottom side of the flange on the tube that I pulled had some rust on it also.

OK, just in case you need the dimensions, I measured one of the o-rings. It is 24 mm OD with a 2.5 mm thickness. I the ones you picked don't work, any decent auto parts store should have a stock of various size o-rings.
