I am planning a set of Simmons for my new Attak. I'm not to up on carbide amouts for dual runner skis. I'll be running 144 studs and like to run the Michigan trails fairly aggressively. Could you guys help out with what carbide configuration you run. I know some run different inside than out and some run cutters or Bergstrom tripples. I have always liked Bergstroms bars.
Thanks,
Chris

I ran 6 inchers on all four of the bars on my Simmons last year on my Warrior with excellent results ![Div20 ;)! ;)!](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/div20.gif)

Have spoke to Scott Bergstrom about this and he recommends the Triple Point 6" carbides on the inside part of the Simmons ski, and standard wear bars on the outside part of the ski. You can either run 4" or 6" carbides on the outside.

The dealer called a few minutes ago. Sled is in. I will be picking it up Dec. 1st.
Thanks,
Chris
Boy that Bergstrom is a hell of a guy. I started buying his carbides a few years back. He'll chat with you for an hour talking about carbide designs, etc. His stuff does last longer. Last year I bought the triple edge, they carved like a freshly sharpened knife on thanskgiving...punn intended!

I would run longer carbides on the inside ones, like said above... this will help keep from buiding snow up when turning..
