I have slim Jim doolys on C & A pro MTX skis and they seem to work out well for me so far. As far as the railway crossing, that sucks! I used to work for CN, it’s the guard rail that is the issue. They lay a second piece of rail on its side and butt it up to the vertical rail that the train rides on to make a gap that is easy to clean out. It’s the sharp square edge of the rail base that is catching and causing the damage.
