Put 200 miles on a new 805 belt today. It is certainly softer and more grabby than the 8DN. Dropped my rpm levels by about 500, which is okay because I can subtract weight from my clutch arms. I kept adding weight to keep the rpm's down with the harder Yamaha belt. I used an Ultimax 3 belt last year after my 8DN delaminated and liked it. The XS is supposed to be better.

My XS 805 belt shredded at about 900 miles, about half as long as the Yamaha 8DN belt. So back to the Yammi belt. I can't say that I had noticed any real performance differences between the two belts. However, I think the XS belt squealed more at idle.

I hammered my sled for 200 miles. Will check the belt.

I am very pleased with this belt so far. I was able to remove 2 washers from the tips of my weights running 8800 rpm max now. The Yamaha belt needed 2 extra washers to turn the same rpm on a long run. My sled backshifts to 8200 rpm now and keeps pulling to 8500 on a short run, topping out at 8800 on a longer WOT run. The lighter tip weight allows a quicker backshift and a lower engagement speed. 500 miles hammering the belt and all is good.
