So I had a spill of chain case lube when filling the case. Not sure how much I spelt. Where should it be on the dip stick?should it be between the arrows? Or should I drain it all and start over

It should have more to the lines at STD but flip it over and the other side should be labeled for reverse.

what does the reverse side mean? And should it go in between the arrows on the std. side?

Athough I do have reverse, when servicing the chain case I just always add 8.5oz of Yamaha's full synthetic chain case lube which does push the oil level a little higher on the dip stick for reverse but never has been a problem.

Awesome thanks guys. So does one with reverse take less oil than one without reverse? Just seems that way looking at the dipstick. Or is it just the way the dipstick sits in the chain case

I go over the reverse max side and never had an issue. I'm sure there is a reason why they have the max at a lower side but sometimes its hard to hit the line spot on. Next morning I find Ive gone over.

Over is not a big deal!

So I would guess I got about 6 oz in. It right at the R on the dipstick for the reverse side. Should I let it rock?
