Since I never got a copy of the service manual I would like to know how much fluid goes in the chain case. When I look at my dip stick there are markings on one side that says reverse and markings on the other side that say forward. What gives with that what level should I be looking at.

If you look on the belt guard, it should say 8.5 oz.

Thanks that was real confusing with the two different levels on the dipstick and no manual. If I understand it correctly and I think I do then one side is if your machine has no reverse and the other "the lower level" is if you have reverse. I wonder why it takes so much less if you have reverse?

I think the reverse chain case is different from the non-reverse case. Two different readings on the same stick save them money I would guess. 05 RS Vector ER here.
