2014 XF7000....after evacuating the chain case oil, appears I added too much. Manual says 12oz Yamalube. Bottles come in 8oz. Added less than 1 1/2 bottles while watching the sight glass to about 3/4 full. Less than 30 seconds later, it was past the sight glass.
Will being over full make a mess, or cause damage, down the road?

Top of the site glass will not be a problem. The oil is think and it takes time to settle. If you put in the spec amount I would not be concerned.

Tilt the sled to see you probably are real close.

Perfect! Will tip a little, to double check, tonight. Final check before tucking them in for the summer.

Mine was at top of the sight glass the entire past season and I didn't have an issue. Makes it easier to ensure you have fluid in my opinion.

Yes I also run mine right at top and a little more. Try to help that top gear bushing last longer.
