Chaincase bearings.

2006 Apex ER. I have a bearing going out in my chaincase and will be changing it this weekend. I want to change all of them while in the case. Does anybody know what size and number the bearings are? The dealer has to order them for me which takes me into next week so. A local bearing distributer can match but I need the size and numbers. Thanks for your help.

Never used/tried them, but I have heard All Balls are junk?

And just my opinion, but if this was my sled I would be using the factory Yamaha bearings as I have heard they are hard to beat as far as quality goes.
 
Do not use al balls they will not last you can get the bearing from a part store . The number of the bearing is in the yamaha part # like this 93306-20592-00 = 6205 bearing see I got the number start at the 5th number and go too the 8th
 
X2 on the cheap bearing warning. The cheap Chinese bearings are junk! Buy the more expensive Japanese bearings.

If you replace the jackshaft bearing behind the secondary clutch note that it is not a standard 6206. It is special in that the inside diameter is tapered. This is so that it mates properly with the taperlock bushing that secures this bearing to the jackshaft. I could not find this special bearing anywhere but from Yamaha. Equally important is the orientation of this bearing when you install it. The larger ID needs to be facing outwards so that it matches the profile of the taperlock bushing OD.

If you change the chaincase oil seals, note that the oil seal in the chaincase cover is special as well. It is a Viton seal that is designed for the higher temperatures that might be transmitted through the jackshaft from the brake rotor. The Viton seal is red in color and costs about three times as much as the two other standard black oil seals. Here are some links to threads showing the extent of this project.
