I would not heat case up might melt seal. Best way is to press in. Put a little oil on outside of seal.

I have done mine 8k on sled clutch side toast and was serviced last season chain side looked ok but signs of spinning on shaft. I replaced shaft, seal and good bearings not china junk that was in there. Other sled 11k did both bearings and seal signs of spinning but not to bad can reused shaft. Both sleds BOP Wedge.purchased from Canadian bearing were all Olin stock and seal from Yamaha was in stock as well if that helps.

Lower 6009 is same as brake side just seals removed
The bearings go in and out very easily with just a small amount of heat from heat gun on case. Freeze the bearings. Fall right in. Seals are tougher if not removing whole case and using a press.

Alright, thanks. I am hoping I don’t have to change the seals, as long as I can get away with removing the shafts and changing the bearings with out damaging the seals.

Yeah I will have to remove the shafts for sure. I’m just hoping I don’t damage the original seals in the case so I don’t have to change them.

I have some bearings coming for the chaincase, is have changed the top gear every year since the bushing has been worn. Last year I had the new gear with the through holes drilled in it and surprisingly this year it doesn’t look to bad, I have a spare one sitting there and will probably throw it in since I am changing my chaincase chain as it is so stretched there is is no more adjustment on the adjuster bolt. I would assume if I am changing the chain it’s probably recommended to change the bottom gear also? The bottom gear looks pretty good still but not
