Do I just need a new seal? (not that it is that easy to replace ....) #5 - do I need #11 too? I am assuming I can reuse #12. Probably should replace the bearing while I am in there, huh?

I am guessing it will go from a few drips to gushing in no time.

How much fluid should a 2007 attak hold with reverse?

Thanks All!

If one is leaking chances are the rest will be soon. The seals are cheap replace all, the bearings are pressed in. The chain case holds 8.5oz of 75w90.

Here are some section views showing the seals:

So I have had a few Vipers and SXRs apart - are the 4 stroke chain cases any different?

I've take apart lots of vmax's and mountain max's and can say yes they are different to those. They are fairl simple though just lay everything out in the order your removing it. Reverse when you reinstall. Yes though replace bearings and seals while your in there. Very cheap insurance. Apex is right about the oil though depending on your weather you might adjust the weight.
