Threw a stud through the front heat exchanger yesterday on my 2005 Rage and am now wondering how to change it.
Can it be replaced by removing the track and suspension only?
Or does the engine and chaincase have to come out too?
I am planning on replacing the track (without studs)! while it is apart and not sure if it is more involved than that.

Last February on my last ride, A stud went through the heat eachanger on my 05 Vector. I removed the track along with the drive shaft and took the whole sled to a welding shop where I had the hole in the exchanger fixed in twenty minutes without removing it from the sled. Brought it home and reassembled it with a new Ripsaw with studs. Just keep track of all the parts in the chain case so you can reassemble the case when you are through.
