Changing Skis.

I see some have talked about different skis for the MTX. Anyone tried the BRP Pilot 6.9? If so, how difficult to mount on MTX? Did it help with the handling on crusty stuff. Gonig to move stance to widest position from middle to see if that will improve.

i ordered a set of pilot 6.9's should be here tomorrow, report to follow i hope. warm up comming may be awhile.

wife has slydog powderhounds has alot better trail manors than the stock skis but requires more ski pressure via limiter straps, front shock on rear skid lower spring pressure, front ski shock springs more pressure. works in the deep very well but again needs alot more ski pressure. ski

simmons on nytro

has anyone tried the first generation simmons skis on a nytro? i have the set that were on my rev so i am guessing i could order the mount from simmons.

The c&a xt's are awesome.I haven't tried them on a nytro.

I have a short track rtx that I installed a 1.75 polaris track on .The stock skis were bad with lot of darting on hard pack . Have had revs with percisions (?sp) and liked them so ordered new Simmons with 6'' carbides what a differnace. It tracks nice doesnt lift as bad on corners and in deeper snow 1' loose they dont pitch like the stock skis. Love them !

Anybody who isn't happy with the stock skis should try a set of X-MT skis made by PPD (OEM manufacturer for BRP). I have them on my MPI Super Charged RX-1. They are the bestt skis I have ran so far (tried Gen 1 Simmons, stock '03 skis and the wider Yamaha mountain ski).
