after reading about some of the apex owners and their tunnel problems, i checked my vector yesterday... now mind you that this sled is mostly ridden by my fiance (very easily- she is new). and wouldn't you know, right in the back, towards the end of the heat exchangers, it is slightly bent down, not up, like an impact or anything. so... needless to say... I'M NOT HAPPY! and i wanna buy an apex next year. WTF is that all about!

Call Yamaha and complain about your bent tunnel. They won't be aware of the problem unless people let them know about it.

Just got done pulling the skid on mine and thats the first thing I looked at. No problems with tunnel failure so far!.. Half of my bearings were shot on the wheels. But the wheels were still good. 2100+ miles

Cheched my tunnel yesterday, and sure enough,it's crinkling it the back. I ride this sled only half as hard as i do on my sxr,and after 2000 mi. the tunnel is bent. . Only thing is... I noticed other people where having problem with the tunnels bending, but I wonder if only the guys with reverse are having the problem, because I know once I was backing up(SLOWLY) and the snow flap got sucked under the track and it was enough to stop the sled.I believe this could be the cause of my bent tunnel. It's still a bad design though,my rev sucked the snow flap many times and it never bent the tunnel.

I noticed that my nytro has the snow flap very far out in its mounting point. Not a chance of sucking it up when reversing. Did however straigthen it out after tail drops into powder.

redlineviper mine just busted the whole way across where your talkin. The whole piece is in two pieces now.

why would backing onto the snowflap bend the tunnel... i have hung the sled in the air and studded it, changed hyfax, and adjusted the track numerious times... and the tunnel doesn't bend UP does it...

my snow flap is chopped.I have no reverse and no studs.
