I have been looking to replace my '06 RTX riser with the mountain riser and bolts. However, after looking all over and searching the forum, it looks like the stock RTX riser is 6" and the mountain riser is only 7.25". Is this correct? I checked the parts fiche at port yamaha's site and the mountain riser is the same for the '06 and up mountain sleds. I'd like a 2" rise, so I guess I'd be stuck getting the rox risers, then, right? I'm really confused about the apex adapter block. Do you really need this? Can't you just add the other riser at the top of your stock yamaha riser?

Part # 1R-P2SE
Elite Pivoting Risers 2"x7/8" x 7/8" and/or 1-1/8"
These Risers allow you to clamp a stock 7/8" diameter handlebar or you can remove the 7/8" reducers and then clamp an 1-1/8" aluminum "fatbar". Reducers lock into risers to insure no slippage between components, as well they have serrated teeth in them for maximum gripping power on handlebar.

Apex Adapter Snowmobile block riser
Rox Apex Adapter block riser allows you to install Rox Pivoting Risers on 06 Yamaha Apex (short track) or Attack. When used with Rox 3 1/2" riser stock bars are positioned 1/2" higher than stock and can then be postioned further forward, back or anywhere in between. 2007 Models come stock with 1" higher block risers and 1" lower bars than the 2006 models. Therefore a 3 1/2" riser would actually lower your bars 1/2" and a 5" would place your bars 1" higher than stock on the 2007 Apex (short track) and Attack. Pivoting Risers sold separately.

I have the mountain riser and it is 8" tall. Stock cables can be used however i would recommend the mountain cable for peace of mind.

Their are two different risers for the Apex mountain, the 06 riser and the 07+ riser.
One is taller, I think it's the 07, but I might be mixed up.

My sled is at my parent's place, so I can't measure the stock '06 RTX riser right now. I have read in posts that the '06 and '07+ mountain risers are different, but the parts fiche lists them as the same exact part #.

If the stock riser is 4 3/4", maybe one mountain riser is 6" and the other is 7.25"?? So confusing.

You only need the one riser. You don't need that Apex adapter.
