So there are 3 relays and the middle one is the starter relay. Great information, Catman. I appreciate it very much. Thanks! The starter relay is under the hood. Trace the positive battery cable towards the starter. It's inline between the two.
Looks like there is lots of info/threads with pics available if I get confused.

Change out the starter relay. Its relatively simple. Vector and Apex use the same relay. The fuse are just different, which is easy to swap around

I looked all over the site/internet looking for pics or videos of it but I couldn't find one for the Apex or Vector? I thought for sure there would at least be some pics of its location and was hoping to watch a vid or two of the replacement and jump starting the sled with a long screwdriver in case it failed. Nytro's and motorcycles was all I could find.
If it doesn't start the first time tomorrow morning, I think I will forget about riding and head straight to the dealership which is out that way and pick one up. I assume this is easy enough to change out parking lot or trail side if need be?
Thanks, Steiner!

Here is a picture of the relay.
It's pretty much the same on all real Yamaha sleds.

The relay is located beside the battery. The white connector that plugs into the top has known to have issues with corrosion as well.
It been a while since I've paid attention to this relay but I think this is correct. If not its the exact opposite.

Thanks Steiner and SXR.
I went for a ride this morning and the sled took 2 clicks before it fired up on the 3rd. I was reluctant to leave but thought, due to the work involved getting loaded up, ready, etc, that I just won't shut the sled off. Did 65 Km's and made my way back to the C/H and parked directly behind my trailer. Had a drink and a snack and decided, if the sled fires on the 1st try, I'll go for another quick spin but it took 4 tries before it finally fired so I just loaded up not wanting to press my luck. Drove out the dealership (Blackstock Motorsports) but they were closed. Home now, sled is in the garage and almost ready to be torn into. I'll call tomorrow and pick one up if they have them in stock?
Just to verify, this relay is located under/to the side of my battery so I'll have to remove the airbox and everything before that to get at this?
Thanks again for your help, guys. I appreciate it.

Hi Catman. I wrote this in the general. Curious, as per our conversation above, is it your recommendation that I replace all of them? Confused what the other ones are for and if they also go bad and could cause future problems?
The info I have received so far, it sounds like these are under/near my battery so taking the cover, air box off, etc, is what I will need to do in order to access them? Just want to verify before I start tearing things apart.
Thanks again for the info.

Start with replacing only the starter relay, because that's most likely the culprit.
You shouldn't have to remove the battery, but I'd definitely unhook the positive cable while working on anything electrical on the sled.
Before unhooking it though, try to get it to do its clicking BS and see if you can hear it at the relay, or if it's at the starter itself. Let's hope it's the relay.
Or, you should be able to touch the top of the relay & hit the key switch at the same time and feel if that's the clicking you hear too. They aren't that far apart and I don't think you have T-rex arms? Lol

When looking from the front of the sled the relay is just to the left of the battery. It is rubber mounted to the battery tray . This locates it between the battery and the frame.
Remove light pod and then the airbox and you will see it.

Thanks, Steiner. I know exactly where you're talking about now. I never got around to it today but will first thing in the morning.

Found a pic from an old thread about the starter relay

Those starter relays should be changed out every few years. I had a trip ruined by a corroded relay once.

It has been 20 Years since I was an Auto technician. I had many Japanese cars that exhibited the same symptom you have. They had a solenoid on the starter. Like most vehicles. I would pull the the signal wire small single wire connection. Plug it back on and away we cranked. This was the signal from the ignition switch to the solenoid. Purpose you would not want full battery current going through the ignition switch or somebody could get hurt. After looking at the pictures of the starter relay for these sleds. I see there must not be a solenoid on these starters. Not a long term fix but you might want to plug and unplug the connectors a few times. After I diagnosed this issue I cleaned the terminals with an abrasive and down the road they went. My 2 cents.
