Clunking noise from track

The track also has some lugs that are partially ripped offSent from my GT-P5210 using Tapatalk

I would cut those lugs off. Then take a torch and burn off any loose/stringy white strings you see anywhere in the track.

Thought I would update on this problem, when I cleaning everything up for the summer I was running the sled on the stand to dry out the brakes and belt, while I was applying the break I noticed the clunking noise, I was able to watch the belt under load and noticed it would jump at a certain spot, exactly when it made the clunking noise in the track. Long story short it ended up being the drive belt, must of had a bad spot in. I checked it over and really didn't see anything obvious, also it was in spec for wear. This drove me nuts for a long time, it sounded like it was coming apart underneath, now, smooth as silk! Hope this saves somebody else this frustration, thanks for all the help, this site is a valuable tool.

Happens a lot! I've torn 2 sleds apart looking for noises/ clunks...ended up being belts. It's the easiest thing to check.

I had the same clunking it was driving me nuts too thought something was really bad,and I was worried, tore it all apart many times, finally found out it was the brake disc clunking just before I was going to look into the chain case again probably cause of the belt like you just mentioned......so the fix is do nothing about it really! Like that one.
