I have heard that on some sleds this is off a little causing some performance loss. What is the correct distance from the center of the primary to the center of the sec.?? Would it make a diff?

both my friend and I have the same 2003 rx1. his was alot faster than mine. after checking them both out we found my clutch weights to be a little off from each other and the shaft to shaft spacing was about 1/4" longer. I felt my sled was binding for some reason before we found this. my top speed when it was brand new was 70, but it got faster as I rode it more. I had 500 miles on it and the top speed was 105. I tried putting in the heel clickers I have in it now but that only made the low end better. I tried loosining the track until it was too loose. I have not rode my sled yet but my friend has and he says it runs faster than his now. it got to 120 really quick and the top end is in the 130 range. He checked the spacing with a sxr gauge just to see if ours were the same. the gauge was too short for mine and when we checked his it fit perfect. we adjusted my motor mounts and now it runs great. I am not sure what the correct spacing is but the spacing for a srx worked for me and my friends came that way from the factory.

Rx spacing is the same as non electric start pro action Yammmies... 267.5mm center to center and 15mm offset.
