my primary clutch is making a rattling noise when it idles and when you get on it she tings. Is that normal? I think I remember hearing it but I don't remember it being that loud.

Three small o-rings on roller pin bolts eliminates the annoying rattle.

You have the option of putting some "O" rings behind the pins but that might get you 300 km's noise free. My sleds have all done that. Check them out it takes 10 minutes. If you don't find anything excessivlly loose it's fine.

Is it going to hurt the sled, outside of the noise? and should the roller pin bolts be tight or loose?

I torque the pins to the point where they just spin using your fingers. So it's snug but allows the weight to swing without spinning the pin. Don't over torque them!
