No reason for loss of top end with a clutch kit. I have seen 130 mph on the speedo (113 gps) a fair amount of times on my 05 RX-1.

Never had a chance to radar mine last year but I saw 127 on the speedo on a 22 mile long lake...so I would guess that's around 110-115.

Well I talked to Jeff from CPR and Matt from the Speedshop. I think I am going to go with Jeff's filter & clutch kit. I just hope it does not effect reliability.
Seems like a lot of you guys are running his stuff and are happy. I oike the fact that his EVAC is self draining. I know I would forget to drain it at one point.

Matt was saying I should see 11HP at the track. Anyone dyno their 05 before and after and/or saw a huge difference after installing this set up??
I have taken my last 2 sleds to dyno but I was not planning on this one. I was hoping to get it dialed in as close as possible with this kit.

i had two sets and i have blown the both apart from costent high speed runing (100mph+) for 15-20 miles. i did not notice any speed differnce with or with out. we do these long high speed cruse to suck the doo boys gas tanks inside out. note that there is only one doo that runs up there with us and its not a mach Z its a mod mxz 670

I sell Goodwin kits, and they use Polaris weights with pin adaptors. Gregg himself said that the stock setup is easy to make out accelrate, but it will hurt top end.

Personally, I am using the new DPYR dalton weight with GREAT results. Run what everyone else is running and you will be as fast as everyone else.

Thats exactly what happened with my goodwin kit on my 05 vector. The top end got crushed by 10 miles an hour. I'd go with with the Ulmer stage III kit. I going to later this year but I need a rear suspension upgrade first.

Stay away from anything that says HEELCLICKER or HAMMERTIME as they have a tendency to explode causing damage and forcing you onto a towstrap for the ride home.

Ya know, it's funny how the biggest ads are the ones to avoid. My in-laws hired a contractor to remodel their kitchen. He did stupid stuff like putting a cabinet over top a breaker box. Then he couldn't get a cabinet to fit between a partition and the outside wall so he hammered it in, busting all the sheet-rock. He also installed a window in the closet, instead of moving it over. YES he's being sued - by many people. When I thumbed thru the yellow pages, he had the biggest ad. Same thing with the snowmobile mags - Henceforth, stay away from SUPERTORQUER.

Ya know, I'm very dissapointed. I bought the Power Shift Clutch Kit from Bender Racing, spent close to $400 when I could have bought the HH set up from Matt for less $$$. I did this "playing it safe" because of Bender's reputation with Yamaha's. I have about 2,000 miles on it with mixed results. At first it seemed awesome. More midrange pull and torquier throughout the whole powerband. Then, mileage dropeed to 12.5 from 14.5, belts started squealing and blowing ( 2 so far) and drag racing my buddies stock '05 Warrior without studs, he's 20lbs heavier, I have an '04 with 108, he beat me all the time. Embarrasing to say the least! Towards the end of the season I maxed the transfer rods and blew him and my buddies SRX away. They were pissed and I was smiling. I guess the point is this. I do a lot of multi day trips in many remote areas like a lot of you guys do where breaking down would be scary. Now you guys tell me that this clutch set up is going to eventually blow up? Should I put back stock for this year until I buy a new sled next year just to be safe. I ride super agressive, but safe. I don't need the aggravation if this is a potential. I paid more for the Bender "Name" and "Set-Up" and I feel like i got dooped. What should I do gentlemen? Thanks
