Put on 52 miles today. Photo's to follow. Last year the last couple of rides I had clutch problems. Would only get 9,000 RPM when I pin it. Found one of the little nylon ramps on the secondary missing. All three replaced. Secondary bushings worn and replaced. SRXTWINS (Brian) and I took the primary apart and it seem fine with the exception of the rollers, they had a little play on the pin but not bad. Haven't replaced them yet. Today same problem ony 9,000 RPM when I pin it. It used to stay at 10,200. We did not check or measure primary or secondary springs. Need help I know nothing about clutches. Should mention stock clutch 04 RX1. HELP PLSE.

Engine has lost compression, looks like you need a top end. :jump:

Revster is that comment all you can offer the users on this site?? If thats the case you can go now... before I have to boot you... unless you are smokeys friend with a nice jab...LOL

Smokey did you check the center bushings on the clutches....

I did check the bushings. One was shot on the secondary primary was fine. I work with REVSTER. Here is his new ride.

Any other suggestions. Seems to me that if everything is fine, bushings weights, rollers etc. Only thing left is the springs. What happens if a primary spring gets weak, or a secondary spring gets weak. SRXTWINS has suggested winding the secondary tighter ???
ANYONE ????

How many miles?

I've had a similar experience with a sacked out secondary sping. The sled was just lazy and didn't rev...some say you should change springs every year...

Only if you own a Polaris ;)!

If its not your spring, What about your belt?????

replace the primary spring. sounds like what i was gointhrough with my et410. that is the fix that cured it. dealer couldnt find anything wrong either. got that advice from the 2stroke side but when it applys it really applys lol.

While you're checking center to center, you might want to check belt wear/deflection. I did have a friend with this same problem (different sled) which turned out to be a cracked primary spring.

2004 RX1 stock clutch with 7,000 miles. How do you check the center to center offset. As you guessed I know nothing about clutches.
:o| :o|
