Yep, I'm sure you can - just alot easier to remove the clutch plate by replacing three of the shorter bolts with longer ones then backing off the short ones right out - then the long ones right out (there will be no pressure left on the spring at this time).
Then the reinstall after you change the weights and primary spring - just put the three longer bolts in until they compress the spring (evenly) and bottom out, put the three short bolts in to fully seat (evenly), remove three long ones and replace with the other three short ones. Done.
I would be careful if your just using the short ones, as if you don't have constant and equal pressure (i.e this is what proper clutch compress tools do I believe) or you risk stripping the last thread when you remove the short bolts as there will still be some spring tension there. Upon re-install can be difficult to try and hold the clutch plate with spring compressed and try and start a small bolt - you could easily cross thread and strip the threads.
Just my advice.

Makes sense and sounds easier. Do you have any guesses as to what size and thread bolt the short ones are? And how long did you use for the long bolts. I won't have a chance to take a bolt out between now and when I need to do the work, but I don't mind buying a few extra bolts of the wrong size just to make sure I have the ones I need.

I didn't plan on pulling the clutch off the sled.

You guys input has been greatly apreciated. I'm sure when we get in there it will all make sense. Thanks for your patience with what may seem to some as "dumb questions".

QCRIDER you don't need the longer bolts to change primary spring. If you plan on taking off the primary clutch you need the clutch puller. (looks like a long bolt). Dive into those clutches.

I understand that I don't need them. Someone just posted that it was easier if you had them. Thanks again guys.
