I have buy a set of 8FP clutch weight with 4.5g rivets on tip. The problem is that when I put it on digital scale 2 of them have a mass of 73.6g and the third have a mass of 73.3g.
Do I have to grind the 2 heavier weights to achieve 73.3g or a difference of 0.3g is acceptable?

I do balance my weights closer than that but you need to jig the weight to determine where the difference actually is. I'm sure you won't have a problem with them as they are though.

I usually just take hand file and file them. To be honest with the weight that close you really are in my own opinion splitting hairs. I'm constantly playing with my clutches and I just dont take the time to really get that fine tuned. Are you running stalk clutches.

I agree with the above statement

The way I look at is 1gram will make 100/150 RPM change give or take depending on curve of the weight and placement of weight. .3 gram variance in weight at the tip will be enough to load one side of the clutch more. Probably not an issue but when the weight is in my hand it's only a few minutes of my time with a gram scale to make it right.
