setup: 03' , ecp, exhaust, 136" , m-10 , 23 top , 40 bottom, 1.75" lug track, (just took out 1.25" solid lug, had problem then too) both rivets removed from stock clutch weights, will hit 10,200 then hit 10,500 after long run on hard pack, if any restriction will only do 10,200 , sled pulls hard to 70mph , if u crack it at 30mph it comes on very strong then hits a wall , still increases speed but dont pull hard 70 to 90 nothing speacial, lucky to see 100 on the dream meter, have used gps 70 is actually 62, i have read weights can be to light and make belt slip, i changed the secondary from 60 to 70 degrees, didnt really see a change , before removing rivets would only see 9500 rpm, 9800 on long run

is a couple hundred dollar clutch kit really going to make a differance

Did it ever run good for you?

Is the jetting matched up to the ECP mod?

When was the last time you cleaned the carbs?

Is track tension and alignment correct to spec? The deeper track will slow you down a bit.

Are all the idlers and hyfax in good shape? (e.g. Can you roll the track on the suspension with your hand?)

Have you checked center-to-center or belt deflection?

Is there burned rubber left on the sheaves?

Are the coils arcing?

Using my stock weights, I had the tip weights removed and a 1/8" hole in the mid-rivet. It would rev to 10,500 and pull 116 mph with one tooth ground off. Was using a white Secondary twisted to 60 degrees.

You might be a little light on weight. But you can put the mid-rivets back in and see if that makes a difference.

I now have a Ulmer Stage II. It hits 10,700, drops back to 10,200 - 10,300 at hookup and revs to 10, 500 on top end at 110-112 mph. And, it wastes no time getting there, either! It solved my under-rev problem.

i would say there is small amount of burnt rubber on primary, belt seems to be pretty hot to the touch sometimes, all the other stuff i have checked

You did not answer all my questions. Do you really expect us to waste our time playing a guessing game with you, to help you? Sorry if I sound short. But, I guess I have run into to many horses that won't drink, when I'd rather be riding. So, ... Why not give it another try? Please be specific as to your answers.

First of all your belt is slipping in the primary. You do NOT have enough weight in that clutch
