I started my sled it ran for maybe 30 seconds and then shut off. The engine light was flashing also any help is greatly appreciated . Thanks

OK I did just get doing changing the oil.I went out to the garage a few min. ago and it stayed running.Thanks for all the help.

Ok so I just changed the oil on the wifes new/used MTX. While I was doing the full oil change, filter included I took the front end apart to loctite the starter bolts. Put it all back together and filled with oil. Now I keep getting code 30. Low oil pressure. I am thinking that I have a air lock in the oil line from the tank to the engine? Not sure here. Anyone else run into this problem? Thanks.
make sure you check that everything is plugged in. You did just take it all apart. I don't think your going to get an air pocket in your oil, if it were posible yami would have some special way to change oil,step by step.Check your wirering?

the oil system is pretty straight forward, same concept as any 4 stroke engine. the first place i would check is the oil pump...both to see if you missed a plug or if the thing is actually working properly.

If I had to guess, I bet that plug that attaches to the front of the engine a couple inches away from the oil filter is for the oil pressure sensor. I unplugged it when I changed my oil to get extra room. If you did the same, that is the first connection I would check. The manual says to put in 1.6 US QTs and run for a couple minutes. When doing that, my yellow warning light came on with the oil picture but no code 30. Once I shut it off and filled the oil tank to spec the light went out and stayed off and all is well.

Thanks for the replys guys. I have taken it all apart again to check the wires. The oil pressure switch was hooked up. I did put some dielectric grease on it while changing the oil. I don't think that is the problem. The sled would run for maybe just under a minute then shut down and flash code 30? I'll have to trace the wiring under the looms to look for broken wires. Once I get it solved I'll let you know.

Well I got it all sorted out finally! Checked all the wiring and it was good. Getting voltage at the oil pressure switch, so that wasn't the issue. Tested the sensor and it was fine. I decided to put some pressure into the oil tank to see if that would push out the air if there was blockage. Presto the oil level went down in the tank. Believe it or not I think that was my problem. Runs fine now with no code showing up. That was how it was supposed to go! Part of the problem was that I added 1/2 litre to the engine, possibly creating the air lock. It was a real adventure changing the oil on this beast.

This could easily be solved by loosing the oil gallery bolt to bleed the system once you completed the oil change. It's all described in detail in the service manual.

Fault Code 30
Paged back until I found this. I have been contending with the same problem as initially identifed: Fault Code 30. I have a 07 FX with 330 miles. I changed the oil and filter just because I had everything opened up. When trying to start I got exactly the same scenerio as previously identifed. Runs 30 sec's and stops Fault Code 30. I loosened the gallery plug on the head, tried again, and again, not a drop to be seen.
I have checked all the hosing, the sender, the can strainer as well as increased the viscosity of the oil, from 0-30 to 10-30, no difference. I have not tried to pressurize the oil can to this point. Ultimately there is a condition that can ocur where by the lubrication system will not prime or purge itself as intended by the OEM. I feel certain that others must have observed this and I would like to learn more about it . Thank You
