Cometic gasket flaw - photos

Im not sure this is the problem with all of the flawed gaskets, but I have two of them and they have the same flaw. The ridge gets too thin near the oval water hole. The ridge is there but there is no flat spot on it to provide a seal. I beleive you can see in the photos.

This flaw cost me a week delay and $200 in labor so I thought it needed to be posted in general. some of the cometic are working and I assume this ridge is fine on those.

If you find my post on that gasket i told you guys about that problem
weeks ago but, i had problems with the OIL PASSAGE!
Now i have problems getting a refound on 2 of those gaskets...

Hi Cubby,

I have the same flawed head gasket. Can't get it to seal around oil passage. Bought mine from CPR and haven't called Jeff to discuss this. I get my sled back tonight. Please ask your neighbor, Cometic Gasket, to fix their problem or quit selling the damn things. Maybe they would like to buy my gasket back for 100 bucks and do some testing. Preety sad when a brand new gasket installed correctly leaks at idle.
