I just ordered a coolant temperature gauge and am wondering where the best place to put in the lines to put the adapter for the temperature sensor is?

Place it on the hose by your therm. If you don't have a place to put it, MPI has a union that is drilled and tapped for it. All you have to do is cut the hose and add the union, two hose clamps and wiring.

X2, in the hose between the thermostat housing and the water outlets on the camcover... so you read the actual water temp coming out of the head...

I have my sensor on the hose coming from the engine block just in front of the thermostat housing.
The sensor piping was too big to fit the hose coming from the cylinder head.
