I backed over the mud flap and was trying to straighten it back up and felt something rattle underneith the bumper. This is what I found. The two rivets that hold the crossover tube (between the heat exchangers) to the bottom of the tunnel have failed and allowed the coolant tube to drop onto the edge of the tunnel and cut through the tube. On mine the coolant tube is cut more than half way through, a couple of more rides and it would have been Bye Bye to the prestone. We all know what that means...better check it out!!!!! If you look close in the pictures you will see the cut.

No, the sled is still warrantied. Interestingly the pipe costs $150.00 CDN. and you can install a rear heat exchanger for $100.

Mine was loose as well. I tried new rivets but the rivet hole was to damaged to hold it tight. I also secured mine with zip ties. During the summer I will drill the rivets and try and replace them with a nut and bolt. I was surprised my tube was not damaged to bad as I am sure it has been loose for several thousand miles.

Good catch. I just checked mine and both rivets were broken off. The Left side of the pipe is worn about halfway through. Depending on how the cable ties hold I may have to replace it this year.

Tough rivets

Get yourself the polaris heavy duty tunnel belly pan rivets then pump up your forearm and borrow your buddies rivet gun( no use breaking yours)
actually if you have an air powered rivet gun it will work very well.

Just drilled out my rivets and replaced them and then drilled another hole right next to it and put a polaris chassis rivet in. All this last wednesday before my Quebec trip. Notice a loud rattle when I first started at high idle.

I have the rear heat exchanger installed so I do not have to worry. I still have my original tube if anybody needs one.
