My sled has 5000 miles. I have been reading so many horror stories about these donuts that I decided to inspect mine. They were fine. Since I am in there I am going to change the donuts. My sled is a 2008 apex. From what I have read the copper donuts are for the sleds with EXUP. Does anyone know if they are the same for the later model machines or is it best to stick with OEM. If copper is recommended, where is it recommended to purchase from?

no not necessarily for the exup, any yamaha 4-stroke uses them, order them and put them in, well worth the money

i also bought from sled toys, heck they even come in a vaccuum sealed package haha. i belive there is two sizes, for the phazer and exup sleds theres large ones, and small ones for every other sled. i've had copper donnuts in the phazer for 1900km last year and it still stalls out when you plug the exhaust,
