Once you got your sled the way you like it. Skis, carbides, suspension etc what is your opinion on how the XTX corners compared to an RTX? I had a stock RTX and loved it, but the tip up on the XTX makes me think. I understand the theroy of the tip up in the straights and when boondocking. Also weight? Yamahas are already normally heavy. So I was wondering about weight from the XTX to the RTX? Thinking of those twist and turns in Wisconsin or those tight logging roads. I'm trying to keep up with 600 etec's, and 1200 doo's in the twists. I also have a Apex which blows them away in the straights obviously, but it is hard to keep up with those light sleds that you can flick in the corners. Any thoughts XTX-RTX for weight, handeling, and cornering?

I'll be able to do a good comparison at the end of Feb at the latest, hopefully earlier. My buddy rides an 08 RTX, stock to stock I would take my XTX hands down, however last year with mine stock and his with 7" powderhounds and 6" shapers, I almost didn't give him his sled back, it handled that much better on the trails.

Now we both have powderhounds and larger tracks so it should be a better comparison. He is running a 121 1.5" Intense I believe and I have the 1.75" backcountry.

IMO I would never buy a short track again after having my XTX, I don't really notice the extra length at all on the trail, and it feels more balanced IMO.
