To-day I had the opportunity to clutch & drive a 05 RS Vector with a simon,s CPR turbo. This package is a very smooth deciptively fast package. The turbo is 100% undetectible until you hit the throttle hard. We never went over 7.5 pounds boost due to unavailabilty of a boost guage.
OK....on our 1000' test strip the sled ran 198 kmh(122.1mph) on the speedo. Unfortunately the fastest sled we were able to test against was a buds tweaked, clutched 02 800 MXZ. The Vector roasred the track on holeshot..even at 3k engagement. At the end of 1000' the Vector was approxiamately 15-20 sled lengths ahead of the 800 doo.
The stock clutching was tossed & I got lucky & got 8500 rpm solid on my 1st try(I do get lucky!!!) with my set up.
My one bud with a very strongly tweaked Mach Z admitted his sled hit 180 on the speedo in this same distance! Sled works amazing with no lag & low boost was pretty strong. we rode it all pm on pump fuel with no probs!

The sled also needs moe gear...22/38 ain,t enuff. Traction was a huge issue with this gearing. I think a 23 or 24 top cog is the ticket. This is the most trail-friendly sneaky fast hi hp sled I have ever ridden.

Keep forgetting stuff...the sled ran all afternoon on our test track pinned to the handlebars on a hard pack track. No overheating, no warning lights no nothing. The only issues was getting a couple of the doo guys to stop riding the sled!!!!!!

Is this the fastest you got all day? I mean this is a lot of money to spend to get a sled to go as fast as an RX-1. Unless this speedo is more accurate than the RX-1, which I suppose is possible. I would have thought that this setup should have produced around 170 - 180 horsepower and that you could have gotten to 120 - 125 on a gun, not on the speedo.

This was in 1000' & sled was running stock gearing. With more room & higher gearing there is a lot more available. Remember...this was running 1000'. When my 03 RX-1 was stock I would hit 170 kmh on the speedo in the same distance.

did u guys run it against the stock vector? also what does a so called stock rx1 with a turbo(no gear changes) run in a 1000 ft.?
I raced Jeff's turbo vector up in cable with my stock vector up in cable I would say a little less than a 1000ft and got distroyed. It also beat some f8's.
