Has anyone had a battery that had cracked case after only in the sled one month. I bought a brand new Yuasa 20 series battery from Port Yamaha and my sled would not start on the cold mornings. It cranked really slow and had to jump the sled in the morning. It started all day long once warm. I tested the battery and it only put out 100 to 150 cold cranking amps. Once removed and took it back to Port Yamaha they (Kevin) found a crack in it. The battery was never dropped and was pretty much always fully charge in since put in. We wondered why it would crack from being frozen or I wonder if it cracked from hitting on the bracket but it was fully strapped in. It passed the charging test with Port Yamaha’s Yuasa tester but with a crack in it they decided to cover it. Hats off to Port Yamaha for a great customer service and getting me a new battery at no charge.
