I was just going through the entire exhaust system on my 03 RX-1. I was checking the condition of the 4 exhaust donut seals between the 4 exhaust flange pipes and the 2 "Y" pipes and the 2 exhaust donuts between the 2 "Y" pipes and the main exhaust system. The sled has 4000 miles on it and all of the donuts look like new, no wear when comparing them to new donuts. I se on the Apex/Attack forum that there is a problem with the "Y" pipes cracking. Have there been any problems with either the "Y" pipes o fteh flage pipes cracking on the RX-1's? If so, where do they crack? I'm getting ready to abrasive blast and ceramic coat all of the exhaust parts. Thanks!!!

No there is no problem with the RX's. They lightened everything on the Apex and the broblem is only with them. I have an 03 with over 13K on it and donuts are like new. 05 has 6k on it same deal. I ride with more than 15 different guys with RX's and not a single problem and don't recall ever seeing a post on any issues.

Thanks guys. I just grit blasted all the exhaust parts prior to getting them ceramic coated. I looked all the components over and there is no signs of carcks or problems. The exhaust donut seals also look fine. Off to the ceramic coater we go!!
