Trying to decide best way to deal with this. S/W Jeff Simon last week no warranty because I am second owner.Mentioned to Jeff sled only has 600 miles from lakes and radar runs, and he set it up. Did not make any difference. He says cost to repair at least 200 + ship both ways. Lot of Issues w/ cracked headers. Spend 300 -400 to repair or buy a new one?? Anyone find one that has not craked w/ some miles? Any one put some miles on Ted Jannetty's log style header?

Adrenalin Rush the log is worse than Powder Lites header , mine cracked in 25 miles plus it had poor response and low on power, I have a new powder lites Simons header here coated and ready to bolt on Email me if interested.

Thanks Turk Forgot to put in my original post this was an RX-1. Were you talking about an APEX OR RX-1

He's talking about an RX, but there is no difference between an RX and Apex CPR header.

CPR cracked header

I read many previous post where he did. When I s/w him last week he said because I was the second owner there was no free repair, even w/ only 600 miles on a sled he setup. I would like something that will last more than 600 miles though

Adrenalin rush,

I have a CPR header I am selling. I am going straight race header for the ice. No cracks on the header and it was one of his later headers. $250 and I'm in Southern NH as well.

CPR Header

Well guys I have seen a few of them in for repairs and most times I can weld them up but they come back crack again.
I sold out for a while on CPR, Jennetty, headers and looking at building a new design like our stage 2 header for Apex.
Will only sell new Header with double devorced down pipe and make sure you guys port the turbo waste gate.
Ask anyone who has run PowderLites double down pipe and ported waste gate update on CPR or even on old headers they will tell you to add about 9 to 12 grams weight to clutch.
The last few weeks we have had a lot of phone calls on CPR headers and sounds like he doesn't even have any and won't help his own customers out??
I don't have time right now but hope to sneak in a few headers to get guys riding again.
Tell the truth about service and don't let one guy wreck your riding and your sport.
I don't like to bash but when guys bash me I listen and step up to the plate and deal with it!
Yes we are human but would you sell your kid or best friend some of the junkie headers and parts that are sold in this world of turbo sleds??
Welds fall off inside of header on brand new kits and go through turbo and destory everything and no warranty?
Shame on this type of guy in business!
Call me if you need a header and we will make a list and see how long to build a run of these headers.
Snow is coming and you better get with the program or you be spending your header $$ on Xmas stuff for the wife!!
