If you have that much blow-by, you have bigger issues.krauss2005 said:im putting on a turbo kit and was wondering what u guys do with the crank case breather hose.....i had the ecp kit and had the evac kit with it and i remember that without the evac kit and just putting the lil kn filter on the hose it would make a mess squirting oill water all over soo being that i can rout it back into the motor where do you vent it without making a mess
I have the little uni-filter on the end of the breather hose on my Apex, very little mist or residue with running 12 lbs boost. Albeit, I rebuilt the engine with low CR pistons, etc so it's been gone thru.
I also routed the breather to the opposite side of the intercooler so the hose is longer.

If its blowing gobs of oil your right there is a problem, although my definition of making a mess is what it does on a healty engine with the residue that seems to get on everything although it wont burn a drop of oil in a season.
I used the MPI plug that goes into the tube and I routed it up by the gas tank and also put a 3M microfiber towel over the end of it to absorb the residue. It can still breathe but doesn't make a mess now.
A catch can is my next plan, something like lightnening pro offers where it catches it and drains it back into the engine.

At high boost, its normal to get some blowby.... just not to push a lot of oil.... then there is a problem.
At real crazy high boost, pushing a bit of oil... is something we have to live with......
