I will have it taken out and cleaned, and do an oil change. But is this something I will have to look at all the time. I guess I'm new to this. It never happened to me on any other sled. It kind of ruined my trip and had to get picked up and drove for 8 hours in a truck vs. a snowmobile!

Thats a very good question there Tim, I was thinking of putting high temp silicone. I never gave it a try i just cleaned it and hoped for the best.

Lol...it leaked like a freaken fountain! I thought I blew it up for sure! I don't bring any oil with me so I was screwed anyway. I'll have to look into this to figure out what to do to prevent this from happening again...lol but I don't even know where it's at? Anyway you could get me a picture. Or maybe PM me and I'll give you my cell# to text it to me?

I think they got her figured out. It's in the shop right now warming up. So I'm getting a oil change and chain case changed. Then it should be good as new!

Did it just have an oil change before you took it out. Seen a few guys forget to take the o ring off the block if it was stuck on from the old filter.

Lol...ya I'm a pretty good mech. I worked on f-18 Hornets when I was In the NAVY. So I would hope I wouldn't forget to look at a double gasket. But everyone misses something. So thanks, but it was coming from the breather hose right above the turbo. So everything is full of oil. The turbo muffler oil tank, everything. I think it's the check valve like the guys are saying. Man I hope so! It was dry under there before I started it. So that's what they are going to look at. And change all my other fluids while it's in there. But it ran really good all weekend till that.

Hey Yamatim,
Don't feel too bad ,Freakin same thing happened to me last night and I'm not even boosted just stock. Our temp outside was -36 dregrees celcuis with windchill -51 ,Once I tool off that seperator tilted it over bunch of water came out, cleaned it out.I'm guessing there was a lot of condensation build up ,I have bout 850 miles did my oil change roughly around 500 miles and ran fine till then.Last ride before that it was prety stormy out ,just gald I wasn't out too far either wise I would have been broke down and needing a tow.I put roughly 8000 miles on my 09 Nytro rtx and nothing like this has ever happened. One thing too is I'm glad there is a fourm like this here to trouble shoot.I think they should do some actual cold weather testing for reliability.Who wan't to be few hundred miles out when stuff like this happen. You know they do cold weather testing on like the Airbus planes, Eurocopter and what not in Yellowknife NWT ,or Iqaluit Nunavut (both in Canada).Still yet it's a lot colder in other places of the planet where Snowmobiles are used why not test them there.Hope there will be an after market solution to this.

The Nytro had it built in the oil tank. The viper does not, because it was cats design. They are trying to make a fix for it. There is a box on top of the clutch side. I guess if you hit that a couple of times it should loosen that ball bearing up so that won't happen. But I think it's crazy to! It ruined my trip. I thought I blew my motor. I'm happy I didn't, but still had to come back early and bring my sled to the dealer.
