I have done a search and read a few people that have bought the skis and liked them. I wanted to start a thread just about the curve skis and different carbide set ups you are running and how you like them. Are they significantly better than the stock skis with duallys? My xr 1200 renegade handled like it was on rails and I am trying to find a set of skis that will help do the same.
best money I spent on the sled so far.
I bought the 6" shapers and the sled has been on rails since!

I put a set of curves (i cant remember if they had 6" or 8" shapers and I added the leading edge) on mine but ended up going back to the stockers w/ 6" slim Jims. The Curves worked very well. Hardly any darting and the steering was precise and accurate...the sled went where you wanted to go and it railed around corners. I took them off because the steering effort was too hard for my liking. Much more effort than the stockers. The stockers w/ slim Jims work well for me especially after softening the center shock a few turns. Gave them plenty of bite but still with easy steering effort. I ride aggressive and have no problem with the stockers.

Interesting. Perhaps I should try a set of slim Jims before I spend the cash on the curve skis. I don't mind heavy steering but if I can get precise no push or darting with a set of slim jims it is much cheaper.

Just to be clear...I wouldn't say there is 'no' push with the slim Jims. You will experience slight push here and there but very manageable. You will have zero darting with slim jims. Without a doubt the Curves will be your more aggressive ski and absolutely rail but like I mentioned I found the steering effort to be too hard for my liking. My trails are tight/twisty and they gave me a work out. As you said...you may want to give the 6" or 8" slim jims a shot first. You could always sell the skis and carbides if they don't work for you.

How are the Curves for deep snow floatation.
I am running the 6.9 Pilots. They float great in the deep snow but push in the soft snow.
Hard pack snow they work good.

I went to the Curves with 71/2" shapers. They work really well in loose snow. I'm very aggressive in the corners and love them there. The problem is they still dart too much on hard surfaces. Not as badly as the stock skis but more than I like. I just think it's too much wear bar. Steering effort isn't bad at all. I'm going to try less carbide and see how it works. They actually work surprisingly well with the 2" carbides. You just have to be aware that it's going to push a bit.

How were the curves in loose or soft snow? I am using the stock skis with 6" deuce bars, great on hard groomed trails, but push bad if you hit a corner with loose or soft snow.

They push with the 2"? or the 7.5? I am thinking I will get a set of the curves with 6" shaper bars.

No push with the 7.5". I believe the 6" would be a good choice.

You can probably blame the darting on the shapers, bad setup or too much ski pressure. I have been running Curves for 1500 miles in all kinds of conditions with 6" Bergstroms .....without the curve leading edge on the 141" skid and they almost never dart. They work well. Also running SLP SLT's on our 137 with Bergstroms and that is also one of the best setup's I have run. Never darts and very predictable. Though the Curves work great, I'm going to try the new SLP Mohawks that have a very similar bottom to the SLT just because of how well the SLT's have been working.

I don't have curves, but I do have C&A skis with 8 inch shaper bars and totally agree steering effort is to much. I have the stockers on with dual runners way better. The sled is designed to have a bit of push that's why it corners so flat. With better skis and bigger carbides change that characteristics of the chassis and changes to inside ski life as well. IMO
