I would agree, it is definatly very loud without the muffler on there. I absolutly love the way the exhaust I built sounds, it's got a very sweet and crisp sound to it.

Did you chop the stock one off, and just clamp that on there?
Is that 2.25" or 2.5" muffler?
Get pics with the seat off.

Here is the link to some pics of the exhaust I built for mine.

It was really pretty simple to do, I cut my stock exhaust off right up near the tank then just bent up a piece of 2 1/4" pipe to run from where I cut it to the muffler, and welded on some round bar to the muffler so it would hang from the factory mounts. Then just used an exhaust clamp to clamo the new set-up to the stock exhaust where I cut it.

I want to run a Supertrapp on mine sooo badly.
You can tune it easily, I will see what I can come up with.

that one there that i used is a 2" in/out muffler.
being this is a demo sled, i had to go about it a bit different then if it was my own. I made this system up a way that if the sled sold to a customer that wanted a stock exhaust, i can EASILY put it back on for him.

Found this at Snowrider.se (a swedish sled magazine).
He used a GYT-R muffler from a YFZ 450 Quad and modified it to fit on his Phazer.

The Phazer exhaust gets REALLY hot. Hotter then almost any other machine I've ever owned. After a good run, I put some ice to it, and it melted a fist size ball of ice in seconds with loads of steam. Be sure you account for that in your design.
